About Us
EFH English Language Training was founded in 2004 by the present director. It employs a team of tutors, trained and experienced in English language teaching and committed to the ideal of high-quality and relevant language teaching. In addition to their professional expertise EFH tutors are highly regarded for their personal characteristics, positive attitude towards different cultures and the desire to guide newcomers through the complexities of life, language and culture in the UK.
Gillian Jones
Gillian Jones is Director of English for Healthcare. She has worked as a teacher, teacher trainer, materials designer and manager in English language teaching overseas, as well as with the Adult Education service in the United Kingdom and speaks several foreign languages. She has contributed to the London Deanery of Post-graduate Medical Schools on-line Continuing Professional Development materials for communication with patients. She has extensive experience of preparing English language teaching materials for a variety of specific contexts and is the writer and co-producer of the Fast Track English series for German educational television. Her own family circumstances mean she has direct experience of carers working in the home and of the linguistic demands made on those whose first language is not English.
